Child AbuseWatch.NET (CAN)

Established in 2008, Child AbuseWatch is a child abuse prevent network (www.abusewatch.net). Child AbuseWatch is operated by One Child International Inc.,

One Child International Inc and Child AbuseWatch are not affiliated with any religious, political or cultural organization or institution; our only purpose is the protection of children from abuse.

Mission

Our mission is to protect children from abuse. We do this by providing a centralized source of easy-to-access and understand child abuse prevention information. The site is designed for use by the public and professionals. CAN provides tools for investigators, law enforcement and healthcare professionals.

We implement our mission in five distinct ways

1. As Information providers: We provide child abuse prevention (including domestic violence) information to parents and anyone who has an interest in protecting children. Information on all aspects of child abuse is provided, including what it is, how it is recognized and what to do when experienced. It is provided free online and in print.

2. Crisis and Emergency Resource Referrals: The online network sites provide emergency and crisis referral information, localized to where the site visitor is located. Victim services information is also provided.

3. Child Advocacy Activism. We speak out against child exploitation and abuse issues through the media and local government

4. Provision of Law Enforcement, First Responder Resources: Extensive resources are available for law enforcement and health professionals who deal with children, particularly first responders.

5. Investigations - Offender Tracking: Child AbuseWatch provides absconded sex offender watchdog services through our volunteer special investigation team when requested. As such we track offenders, build a file and provide the information to law enforcement and federal agencies to act upon.
